As per Star Wars actor Ian McDiarmid Ian McDiarmid, we’ve not seen the final of the villainous Emperor Palpatine. Last time that we were able to see Palpatine was during Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker and considering all Star Wars’ Star Wars projects currently in the process of development, it’s not too surprising to imagine that we’ll eventually be seeing him again.
McDiarmid’s talk during the Imperial Commissary Collectors Convention via Star Wars News Net, McDiarmid teased that he had been involved in an upcoming show that could include Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi or Star Wars: Andor.
“There’s an event coming shortly, which will be around the time that I might consider myself to be extremely active. If you’ll observe my physical body I can’t comment on that. You will definitely sense me.”
If the story for andor is set prior to the first trilogy in the trilogy and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there’s always the possibility that Palatine appears in the film. However, there’s also the possibility that he’s associated in some way with Obi-Wan Kenobi. I consider to be the most likely option. The actor has previously said:
“I believe I must acknowledge that, due to my unforgiving daughter [Rey Skywalker] My death was completed. But of course, [Darth Vader] Vader is back on the scene in the upcoming”Obi-Wan-Kenobi” TV series So I guess it’s possible that one day his mentor may be discovered hiding in the dark.”
We’ll have to wait and watch the place where Emperor Palpatine appears up and how he’ll be used. I’m also interested in seeing what kind of impact the villain will be able to make.
Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi debuts on Disney+ on May 27th.
